Zambia Institute of Marketing second vice-president Mwabashike Nkulukusa has been appointed business development manager for Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies (ZCAS).
Nkulukusa (30), was formerly marketing manager for Australian Institute of Business and Technology (AIBT) in Zambia.
He is currently chair of the sub-committee on membership and recruitment of the Buy Zambia campaign under the support of the Ministry of Commerce Trade and Industry, and was nominated last year at the ZIM marketing personality of the year for his contribution to the marketing of international tertiary education in Zambia.
“I aim to pursue a successful professional career in marketing and corporate affairs management for both profit and non-profit making organisations, be of use to humanity and become a reference point for posterity,” said Nkulukusa.
Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies is a “premier plus” provider of tertiary education and promotes research and advancements in accountancy, information technology and business in the Southern African Region. Established by an Act of Parliament in 1988, the centre also provides advisory and consultancy services.
Nkulukusa’s duties include promoting the image of ZCAS, marketing services to prospective clients, formulating long-term marketing plans and conducting marketing research to asses market demand, customer awareness, and compiling intelligence reports on a quarterly basis. He also manages advertising contracts and public relations, maintains a database of graduates, identifies potential business opportunities, prepares marketing and publicity budgets, and sources consultancy and research projects.
Before joining AIBT he was marketing and advertisement manager/ information consultant for the Inter-Africa Network for Human Rights and Development (AFRONET), having previously been sales and marketing executive for the Taj Pamodzi Hotel in Lusaka.
He has a post-grad uate diploma, a professional diploma and a professional certificate in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK, which which he is a full member.
