Kasanka National Park’s sole black lechwe, ‘Blackie’, has produced a young “puchwe”, pictured left standing next to some pure puku of the same age.
“This is quite an exciting development, but re-emphasises the need to bring some more black lechwe into Kasanka,” said Kasanka manager Edmund Farmer.
