February 2013 - The AIDS Healthcare Foundation distributed free condoms and provided HIV testing with an innovative flashmob at Lusaka bus station. We got them the media coverage. January 2013 - Kagem Mining, a partnership between London-listed Gemfields plc and the Zambian government that operates the world's single largest emerald mine, has set out its strategy for putting Zambian emeralds at the forefront of the world's fine jewellery industry. Langmead & Baker is providing local PR support. January 2013 - Preparation is underway for the introduction of
Emirates' 777 aircraft to the Dubai-Lusaka-Harare route from February 1. December 2012 - Proflight Zambia welcomed its 100,000th scheduled
passenger of 2012 - a record for the airline in a single year. November 2012 - Vice President Hon. Guy Scott and Labour Minister
Hon. Fackson Shamenda toured Amatheon Agri's flagship 20,000 hectare farm in
Mumbwa District. Langmead & Baker made the four-hour journey to oversee
media coverage. September 2012 - Gillian Langmead has been awarded Accredited
Practitioner status by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. August 2012 - Proflight honoured its pledge to winners of the
AfCON tournament by presenting Chipolopolo players with free tickets. August 2012 - Gillian Langmead was guest speaker at the Lusaka
Lunch Club, regaling members with some of her experiences across Africa and
Asia. July 2012 - Proflight Zambia's first all-female crew took to
the skies this month - happily coinciding with the anniversary of legendary
aviatrix Amelia Earhart's birth. July 2012 - Emirates opened its new sales office in Lusaka
with a glittering reception attended by dignitaries and media. June 2012 - Emirates announced it will increase flights between
Dubai, Lusaka and Harare from five-times-a-week to daily, from October 1.
The announcement received extensive traditional and social media coverage. June 2012 - Emirates was one of the sponsors of the Lusaka
International Polo Tournament this month (pictured left). June 2012 - Proflight Zambia made a significant contribution to
the community this month, supporting the South Luangwa fun run by flying
Chipolopolo players to the event, promoting Alive & Kicking football
makers, and the Swim for Nsumbu fund-raising event. We helped raise
everyone's profile too. June 2012 - We are now half way through work on the Enterprise
Map of Zambia for the the International Growth Centre, having interviewed
around 25 senior executives from the country's largest companies. June 2012 - Truck drivers along the Zambia-Tanzania corridor,
and particularly at border posts, are among those at risk from HIV and AIDS.
Langmead & Baker has been continuing its long-standing partnership with
the Zambia Centre for Communication Programmes to get that message across
through a series of posters and a brochure. April 2012 - The International Growth Centre, directed by the
London School of Economics and Oxford University, is producing a book on
Zambia's industrial capabilities. Langmead & Baker has been selected to
provide the research for the project. April 2012 - South Africa marked Freedom Day in Lusaka with a
reception attended by 500 dignitaries. Langmead & Baker made sure Brand
South Africa was also in evidence. April 2012 - Proflight Zambia celebrated its 21st anniversary with a Women's Day breakfast graced by Zambia's first female pilot and the first woman pilot in the Zambia Air Force. Langmead & Baker invited the media too. April 2012 - Emirates launched its new
global brand platform and direction, themed 'Hello Tomorrow', which
positions the global airline as the enabler of global connectivity and
meaningful experiences. Langmead & Baker is getting that exciting
message across in Zambia and Zimbabwe. March 2012 - Domestic scheduled airline Proflight Zambia has
launched its recycling project, collecting paper and taking them to a
women's group in Mfuwe where they are made into briquettes as a substitute
for firewood and charcoal, helping to stop deforestation. Langmead &
Baker is helping the airline put the word out on the collection points at
the airline's office. March 2012 - Gillian Langmead has been upgraded to full member
status by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) February 2012 - Zambia's Chipolopolo football team won the African
Cup of Nations. Langmead & Baker helped a tourism entrepreneur fill a
737 with fans to fly from Lusaka to Gabon for the match. February 2012 - Emirates Group begins five-times-a-week flights
between Zambia and Dubai, and Zimbabwe. Langmead & Baker managed public

Brenda Muntemba has published a book of motivational prose and poetry
entitled Off Duty. The book was published by Langmead & Baker. September 2011 - Langmead & Baker has been unanimously selected
by British Airways as its PR agency of the month, worldwide. June 2011 - Global
medical technology company Becton, Dickinson and Co launched the Good blood
draw Applications Zambia Initiative (GAZI) public-private partnership with
Zambia’s Ministry of Health to improve blood sample collection techniques
among healthcare workers. Langmead & Baker provided media relations
support for the launch. April 2011 - Langmead & Baker has been appointed public
relations agency for British Airways in Zambia effective from April 1, 2011.
March 2011 - Brand South Africa is a global campaign to promote
SA. Zambia is South Africa's largest export market in Africa, and Langmead
& Baker is spearheading the campaign in Zambia. March 2011 - HarvestPlus is due to launch its pro-vitamin A
enriched maize in 2012-13. Langmead & Baker is working on a series of
focus groups to help identify the crop's brand essence. November 2010 - Sunil Bharti Mittal, founder and chairman of the
fifth largest mobile telecommunications company in the world, visited Zambia
to launch the re-branding of the Zain network to airtel, as part of its
takeover of operations in 15 countries in Africa. Langmead & Baker
provided media relations and PR support through its affiliation with Hill
& Knowlton. September 2010 - Marketing of biofortified maize, enriched with
Vitamin A, was the subject of a presentation by Langmead & Baker for a
HarvestPlus workshop in Livingstone. July 2010 - Work is underway on a new behavioural change
communications magazine for the Zambia Centre for Communications Programmes
on gender, multiple concurrent partnerships and HIV. June 15, 2010 - Netherlands conglomerate Philips stopped in
Lusaka as part of its epic Cairo-to-Cape Town Roadshow to promote healthcare
and lighting. Langmead & Baker Ltd co-ordinated media relations for the

April 25, 2010 - World Malaria Day was marked in Lusaka with a great
United Against Malaria football match between a team of senior public
figures, captained by Health Minister Hon. Kapembwa Simbao, and Chipolopolo
Boys veterans. January 15, 2010 - Shooting is complete for
a United Against Malaria public service announcement for television
broadcast. January 13, 2010 - Work is starting on the latest issue of The
Insurance Magazine, the journal of the Insurance Institute of Zambia.
November 12, 2009 - Work is in progress on
the latest issue of Focus, the quarterly in-house magazine of Lafarge
South East Africa. October 25, 2009 - Coca-Cola Light Zambia Fashion Week, organised by

roll out in Zambia, with Langmead & Baker working hard with local
partner MACEPA to capture football fever to generate countrywide awareness
of key malaria prevention and treatment messages. April 2, 2009 - You and Your Relationship is the title of a
new one million-circulation HIV/AIDS behavioural change publication being
produced by Langmead & Baker for the Zambia Centre for Communication
Programmes. Feb 24, 2009 - Langmead & Baker and its partners have been
officially selected by the Gates Foundation to implement a pan-African
malaria awareness campaign associated with football. The consortium will be
working with partners like the UN Foundation, Malaria No More, John’s
Hopkins VOICES program, the One Campaign, Roll Back Malaria. The campaign
will be working with footballers including David Beckham and Thierry Henry
and with celebrities like Bono and Will Smith to raise awareness of malaria
prevention in Africa ahead of the football in South Africa next year. This
will be a multi-office, multi-sector programme involving healthcare, policy
and sports marketing and will be led from New York working closely with
London, Brussels and our African affiliates in seven key markets, including
