Emirates appoints new Country Manager for Zambia


LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – Emirates, which flies daily direct from Lusaka to Dubai and Harare, has appointed Omar Bushlaibi as its new Country Manager for Zambia.

Mr Bushlaibi, whose appointment came into effect on August 1, 2022, will oversee Emirates’ overall business in Zambia, including sales and service functions for the airline’s passenger, cargo, management and airport operations.

Mr Bushlaibi was previously the Manager for Oman and takes over from Mohammad Bin Hafiz.

He has worked with Emirates for eight years, during which time he served as Country Manager in Oman for three years, and as Commercial Support Manager in India and Commercial Manager in Bangladesh for one year respectively before that.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Bushlaibi said, “I’m both honoured and very excited to be leading Emirates operations in Zambia. I look forward to working with our local team of dedicated and talented staff to ensure Emirates’ growth and continued success in the market.”

Emirates has announced further movements in its commercial team in the Middle East, Far East, Africa, and West Asia in line with the airline’s continuous expansion and accelerated operations.

The newly appointed commercial leads will each bring their experiences and skills to lead the airline’s development in their respective markets, including growing the customer base, strengthening existing partnerships and identifying opportunities to forge new ones.
