ZAMBIAN BREWERIES APPOINTS NEW COUNTRY DIRECTOR
LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – Zambian Breweries has appointed Thais Cavinatto as its new Country Director.
Ms Cavinatto takes over from Michelle Kilpin, who held the position from July 2021, and has since taken up the position of Country Director for the Tanzania operations of Zambian Breweries’ parent company, AB InBev.

A seasoned business executive, Ms Cavinatto brings with her over eight years of experience in the global beverage sector under AB InBev, where she held the position of Global BEES Vice President, Frontline Transformation. In that position she played a pivotal role in driving initiatives such as the digital transformation of the company’s sales with the creation and expansion of its BEES digital platform, implementing BEES FORCE and BEES GROW in over 15 markets and training 20,000 female retailers through BEES Together.
Ms Cavinatto is known for her visionary leadership, fostering a culture of innovation, and delivering sustainable business results. She began her career as an Investment banking analyst with Goldman Sachs Brazil before moving on to Ambev where she took on various roles including RTM Manager, General Manager Sales and Marketing, Commercial Manager and Director of Technology Strategy. She then went on to become Global B2B Director at BEES – AB InBev’s business-to-business e-commerce platform built to empower small and medium-sized retail partners.
Ms Cavinatto holds a BSc degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas (Getulio Vargas Foundation) and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
