Emirates honours the 54th UAE Eid Al Etihad with sky-high celebrations

The festivities began with a cake-cutting ceremony attended by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group; Sir Tim Clark, President, Emirates Airline; and other senior executives.
Students from Raffles World Academy delivered a special performance, showcasing a choir, band, and dance ensemble as they sang the national anthem and presented an uplifting musical programme.
All Emirates customers onboard flights departing Dubai from 2-3 December will receive an Emirati-inspired sweet treat in a mini giftbox


Dubai, UAE, 27 November 2025: Honouring a united journey that spans 54years, Emirates will be celebrating UAE Eid Al Etihad on 2 December, with traditional Emirati sweet treats served inflight for all customers, an array of traditional dishes in the Emirates’ Dubai lounges, and a curated catalogue of Emirati music, podcasts and movies available on ice.

The Emirates Group also celebrated Eid Al Etihad at its headquarters earlier today, with a range of interactive cultural activities designed to engage its multinational workforce. The festivities began with a cake-cutting ceremony attended by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group; Sir Tim Clark, President, Emirates Airline; and other senior executives.

Students from Raffles World Academy delivered a special performance, showcasing a choir, band, and dance ensemble as they sang the national anthem and presented an uplifting musical programme.

Employees explored a heritage village that highlighted traditional elements of the UAE culture, including a spice shop display, traditional pottery, henna artistry, and vintage fabric exhibits. The Emirates Group Youth Council hosted an engaging interactive booth featuring a range of activities for employees. While, the Emirates Engineering team demonstrated an innovative recycling process, transforming used paper into fresh notebooks with a renewed purpose.

Savour the flavours of the region for Eid Al Etihad

All Emirates customers onboard flights departing Dubai on 2 and 3 December will receive an Emirati-inspired sweet treat in a mini giftbox, while the aircraft interior is illuminated in the colours of the UAE flag. A duo of fig frangipane and gahwa tart will be enjoyed by First and Business Class customers, while Premium Economy customers will be offered pistachio rahash tart and gahwa tart, and those travelling in Economy Class will relish batheeth with white chocolate and pistachios.

At the Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge, customers can savour an aromatic Arabic coffee complemented by the favourite flavours of the region with aseeda cake, date and cardamom cheesecake, pistachio rahash tart, as well as saffron bundt cake with caramel cream frosting and hazelnut croquant, or chocolate and cardamom bundt cake.

Culture and connection for Eid Al Etihad onboard Emirates ice

Customers can embrace the national spirit with Emirates award-winning ice, choosing from more than 71 Arabic movies, including titles like Al Forsa Al Akhira and Al Eid Eiden, as well as 32 Arabic TV shows, featuring Emirati series such as Al Boom, Sawalef Yadouh, #ABTalks, Al Mtwassf and Al Sanaa’. Emirates also offers a host of premium content on Shahid, the world’s leading Arabic streaming platform, includingshows like 220 Youm, Hmoud Wa Abouh, Al Sohba Al Holwa and Hazza.

For a culturally rich entertainment experience onboard, there are riveting Arabic documentaries including Al Emarat: Masiret Al Ezza’ W Al Enjaz. Customers can also relax into 15 Arabic podcasts, such as Qassed Fazza, Al San’a, and Kursi Al Ethnain, or listen to a selection of 151 Khaleeji albums and playlists featuring Emirati artists like Hussain Al Jassmi, Hazza’ah Al Minhali and Fayez Al Saeed.

Eid Al Etihad dishes in Emirates Lounges

In Emirates First Class Lounges in Dubai, customers can feast on traditional Emirati chicken machbous, Emirati lamb ouziand harees served with fried onions, cashew nut raitha and dakkous, followed by an array of tempting desserts including karak profiteroles, Umm Ali spheres, lommie kabeese cheesecake and bitesize treats of date mamoul, hazelnut kita,kunafa pistachioand Emirati Luqaimat.

In the Business Class Lounges, customers will experience Emirati style lamb ouzi made with locally sourced lamb, mint raitha and dakkus, or chicken majboos with cucumber yoghurt sauce, while delectable treats will tempt for dessert, including Arabic coffee delice, loomi and rose profiteroles, guerss ugaili cardamom sesame financiers, burnt gahwa chocolate tarts and Emirati Luqaimat.

Customers in both First and Business Class lounges can also treat themselves to a refreshing ice-cream from the Emirates ice-cream cart, homemade in the locally sourced flavours of Baklava and Arabic coffee and dates.
