FQM TRIDENT ANNOUNCES KALUMBILA CHALLENGE 2025: A CELEBRATION OF WELLNESS, CULTURE, AND COMMUNITY




KALUMBILA, ZAMBIA – FQM Trident Limited is pleased to announce the return of the Kalumbila Challenge, a dynamic community event blending sport, culture, and well-being. The 2025 edition will take place on Saturday, 4 October at Sentinel School in the Kalumbila District. 

The Kalumbila Challenge has grown year on year, attracting more than 1,000 participants from five provinces across Zambia in 2024. With the 2025 edition expected to draw over 1,500 participants, the event is fast becoming one of the most anticipated community gatherings in the region. 

“The Kalumbila Challenge is more than just a race — it’s a platform to promote holistic well-being, strengthen community bonds, and celebrate our shared culture. It’s a reflection of FQM’s people-first philosophy, where health, inclusion, and community engagement are at the heart of everything we do,” said General Manager FQM Trident Limited Scott Whitehead. 

Inclusive Sport Meets Cultural Heritage

This year’s event will feature a variety of athletic competitions for all ages and abilities, including: 

Running (5 km and 10 km) 
Cycling (25 km and 50 km) 
Football and Chess 

A dedicated category for participants with disabilities, ensuring the event is accessible and inclusive. 

Thirty-five Sponsors Unite to Support the Event

The 2025 Kalumbila Challenge is made possible through the generous support of 35 sponsors, including platinum sponsors Rock Tech, Quattro, BIA, Nvumabaranda, KASCO and Kanona.
